Roger L. Bell, 65, passed away Monday, August 1, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at the Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City, with Pastor Gus Henrici officiating. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rosehill Cemetery in Orum, Nebraska.

Roger is survived by his wife Cheryl; children, Melody Bell, Travis (Kathryn) Bell, Tricia Bell, all of Rockwell City; granddaughters, Mercedes and Elizabeth Bell; his brothers and their families, Archie Bell of Boone, Gene Bell of Laclede, ID, Fred Bell of Belmond, Charles Bell of Dows, James Bell of Latimer; sisters and their families, Doris Hodge of Iowa Falls, Viola Claude of Dows, and Karen Thayer of Belmond; mother-in-law, Betty Tuttle of Rockwell City; sister and brothers-in-law and their families, Pat Garretson of Blair, Nebraska, Jim Tuttle of Omaha, and John Tuttle of Blair, Nebraska; and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Dorothy Senefelder Bell, and father-in-law Vern Tuttle.

Roger Lee Bell was born July 14, 1946 at Clarion, Iowa. He graduated from Dows High School, with the Class of 1964. Roger attended classes for electronic studies and also became a certified welder. On February 21, 1970, he was united in marriage to Cheryl Tuttle at Blair, Nebraska. Roger was in the salvage business for most of his life. In 2004, the couple made their home near Rockwell City. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
