Clarence E. Johnston, 54, of Clarion, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at his residence near Clarion. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, July 30, in the Alexander Cemetery east of Alexander. The body has been cremated. The Dugger Funeral Home of Belmond, is in charge of the arrangements.

Clarence E. Johnston, 54, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at his residence near Clarion. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, July 30, in the Alexander Cemetery. The body has been cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dugger Funeral Home. Clarence, the son of Wallace and Ellen Suntken Johnston, was born on June 24, 1957 in Belmond. He attended school in Belmond and is fondly remembered by his classmates. As an adult, Clarence drove truck for a living. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Harold. Clarence is survived by his sister, LaNae (Mike) Walrod of Latimer; and special nephew, Matt of Aplington.
