Everett F. Hockman, 77, of Flora, Illinois died at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Dick Krenzke officiating. Burial will be in Powers Cemetery in Xenia.

Mr. Hockman was born September 29, 1933, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, the son of Floyd and Nellie (Greenwood) Hockman. He married Marie Bullard on June 19, 1960, in Flora. She survives. He worked in automotive repair as an alignment technician, served in the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of First Christian Church of Flora.

Mr. Hockman is survived by his wife, Marie Hockman, of Flora; two sons, Scott Hockman and his wife, Sandy, of Mahomet, and Randy Hockman and his wife, Cindy, of Xenia; three grandchildren, Dirk and Bali Hockman, of Xenia, and Mitchell Hockman, of Mahomet; brother, Lewis "Sonny" Hockman, of Flora; sisters, Martha Nell Rebman, of Zion, Betty Blackwell, of Ravenna, Ohio, and Virginia Garver, of Elderberry, Md. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Nellie Hockman, a brother, Robert, and a sister, Ruth. Memorials may be made to Clay County Cancer Crusaders.
