WATERLOO, IA - Blanche Foster, 94, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, July 13, at her daughter's home in San Antonio. She was born Dec. 3, 1916, in Belmond, daughter of John and Mabel Leese Pfaltzgraff. She married Everette C. "Bud" Foster Aug. 29, 1941, in Waterloo. He died June 11, 1998. She graduated from UNI in 1938 (Iowa State Teachers College), and privately taught piano for 54 years in Waterloo, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Waterloo First United Methodist Church, "B" Natural Music Club, and P.E.O. Chapter JP. Survived by: a daughter, Jean of San Antonio; three nieces, Ann Alton of South Carolina, Sandra Ulrey of Washington and Vicky Good of California; a nephew, John Nedtwig of Ames; and Beth Henning of Des Moines, Judy Maltas of San Antonio, and the Maltas and Oberheu families in Texas. Preceded in death by: a sister, Meryl Nedtwig; and a daughter, Carol Jean in infancy.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Waterloo First United Methodist Church, with inurnment in Elmwood Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Locke Funeral Home. Memorials: may be directed to Waterloo First United Methodist Church.
