Mount Zion, IL -- Carl J. Green, 79 of Mount Zion died 1:40 pm Friday [November 4, 1983] in St Mary’s Hospital. Services will be 11 am Monday in Dawson and Wikoff funeral home, Mount Zion. Burial will be in Laplace cemetery; Memorials to the heart fund. Mr. Green was born in Corwith, Iowa, son of Daniel and Anna Green. He was a retired farmer and electrician and a member of Laplace United Methodist Church. He married Helen Wilson in 1933. [December 23, 1933]. Surviving are his wife; sons James E. of Geneva, Neb.; Daniel E. of Byron; daughter, Mrs. Delbert (Marjorie) Pryor of Laplace; brothers, Elbert of Woden, Iowa; William of Wesley, Iowa; sisters, Ethel Halligan of Corwith, Iowa, Bertha Davis of Longmont, Colo, Beulah Green of Britt, Iowa; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild. Two brothers preceded him in death.
