Funeral Services for Margaret Hamilton, 80, of Iowa Falls will be held Friday, Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls. Burial will be at Union Cemetery with Reverend Ellis Webb and Joan Ayers officiating.
Mrs. Hamilton died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 1984 at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital. She was born Jan 20, 1904 near Hampton to William and Edla Donohone Shearer. She was a graduate of Iowa Falls High School in 1924. She graduated from college in Fayette, Iowa. On July 23, 1953 she married Millard Hamilton. Mrs. Hamilton taught school in rural Popejoy, Iowa Falls, and Ackley in a career that spanned 40 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star and White Shrine of Iowa Falls. Survivors include her sister Marcella Warner of Alden; two nephews, Gary Warner of Alden and Lowell Warner of Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Arrangements are being handled by Surls Funeral Home.
