West Des Moines, IA -- Marjorie Tallan, 82, passed from this life on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. In agreement with Marjorie's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., on Wednesday, June 8, at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.

Marjorie was born on July 9, 1928 in Eagle Grove, Iowa, to Clifton T. and Grace Amelia McMahon Roseland. On June 18, 1950, Marjorie married William J. Tallan in Des Moines and their marriage was blessed with four children.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Debra K. Iversen of Orlando, FL; three sons, William J. Tallan Jr. of West Des Moines, Tim R. Tallan of Urbandale and Jerry Tallan of Boston, MA; two sisters, Arloine Bullington of Hastings, MN and Norma Drey of Clive; and three grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
