Gerathmel Hiram Shutes

The funeral of G. H. Shutes, one of the pioneer residents of Jasper township was held from the Methodist church last Wednesday. Mr. Shutes was making his home for the past three years with his daughter, Mrs. Gus Wetter of Clarion at which place he died on Feb. 27th at the age of 84 years. He was laid to rest at East Liberty by the side of his wife. He was a faithful member of the Methodist church of East Liberty while he lived in Jasper township. He leaves eight children to mourn his death and a host of other relatives and acquaintances.
