Mrs. Borwey, 73, Dies at Eagle Grove; Rites Will Be Held Friday;

EAGLE GROVE, Jan. 2. — Mrs. Carrie Borwey, 73, widow, died at her residence, 610 East First street North, Wednesday morning. Funeral services will be held Friday at the Eastside Lutheran church in charge of the Rev. T. J. Severtson. Pallbearers will be Charles Carder, Homer Wasem, Nels Roseland, Andrew Walker, Knute Rolland and Sten Anderson. Mrs. Borwey is survived by one son, Ben, in Eagle Grove, two sisters: Mrs. Trudie Hildahl, at Jewell, Iowa, and Mrs. Lena Rentschler, at Pilot Mound, Iowa; also by two brothers, Eli J. Maland, of Long Prairie, Minn., and Henry Maland in Jewell. She was born in Norway, coming to the United States at the age of 5, with her parents and had lived in Eagle Grove for 45 years. Mr. Borwey died in 1901.
