16 April 1850 -- 13 March 1926

Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. J. P. Lair [James Pleasant Lair], a resident of Exira for many years. She died at the home of her son, Ed Davis, at Eagle Grove, her demise being due to cancer of the arm. The remains were taken to Peoria, Illinois, her old home, for burial.
