7 July 1859 -- 17 April 1931

Mrs. Mary Luick, a resident of LaMars township [North Dakota] for the past thirty years passed away at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr & Mrs Orville Marsh, at LaMoure, North Dakota on Friday afternoon March 17th, where she had made her home the past year. Death came after several days of suffering following a paralytic stroke. During the past year Mrs Luick suffered a partial paralytic stroke from which she never fully recovered.

Mary De Bour was born July 7, 1859 at Abbott, Iowa. On October 12, 1887 she was united in marriage to Frank E. Luick at Hampton, Iowa. She was reared in a Christian home and at the time of her death was a member of the M E church. She declared her perfect trust in her Savior and readiness to die. The deceased was very highly esteemed and always ready to help those in need. Mrs. Luick is survived by two sons and one daughter. They are Arthur William of LaMars, Marvin Luick of Broadland, SD and Ethel M. Marsh of LaMoure, N. Dak. and thirteen grandchildren.
