June 3, 1888 -- April 19, 1976

Otto Borchert, Town of Clayton, Wisconsin, Age 87, died Monday evening at home after a lengthy illness. He was born June 3, 1888 in Wright County, Iowa. He married Anna Bondow on April 21,1910. They had celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 1975. Mr. Borchert had farmed in the Town of Clayton all of his adult life. Survivors include his wife, Anna; a son, Walter, Neenah; two sisters: Mrs. Frank (Bertha) Metzig, Oshkosh; and Mrs. George (Meta) Westphal, Neenah; a brother, Carl Borchert Sr., Neenah; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Clayton, with the Rev. Dale Zwieg officiating. Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery. Friends may call at the Westgor Funeral Home, Neenah, from 6 until 9 p.m. Wednesday, then at the church after 11 a.m. Thursday. A memorial fund has been established for the church.
