William Theodore Brevig, 89, of Woodburn, Oregon died Nov. 9, 2010. He was born June 16, 1921 in Belmond, Iowa. He lived in Somers, Mont. as a child. He worked for his father, who owned a saw mill, and in the mines in Butte, Mont. In 1941, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Forces and served a four-year tour of duty. He then went to work for the railroad on the Los Alamos, N.M. project and then moved to Pocatello, Idaho, where he worked as a brakeman on the railroad. He moved to Tacoma, Wash. in 1947 to work for the National Guard. He retired in 1976. After retiring, he spent many years traveling in his RV between Tacoma and Yuma, Ariz. His last five years were spent in Woodburn at the Driftwood Mobile Park. It was there that he met his best friends and came to know Christ as his Savior. He belonged to the Old Time Fiddlers in Washington and Oregon. He enjoyed playing and singing country music on his guitar, both alone and with the jammers at the senior estates when he was well.

He is survived by his sister, Meredith, and her family in Washington. A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 19 at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 20 at Woodburn Christian Church. Arrangements by Unger Funeral Chapel.
