June 7, 1919 -- November 12, 2010

Irving L. Kuehnast peacefully passed November 12, 2010 in his home with his family by his side. He was born in Thor, Iowa. He graduated from Waldorf College and Iowa State University. He proudly served his country for 20 years as a B-17 pilot and meteorologist retiring as a colonel. He is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Diane, George, Kimberly and Charles; and eight grandchildren who all lovingly referred to him as "Pe-pop". He enjoyed playing senior softball, tennis, golf and cards. We remember our beloved father as kind, strong and generous. On behalf of our family, we want to thank everyone including hospice for your prayers during this difficult time. A private service will be held in memory.
