EAGLE GROVE, IA - Donald H. Christensen, the son of Holger and Nora (Hansen) Christensen, was born on December 18, 1933, at the family home in Eagle Grove. He graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1951 and grew up in the family business - Christensen Motor Co. On October 16, 1955, Don was united in marriage with Lillian Ernst.

Donald, 76, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2010, at Van Diest Medical Center in Webster City. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold and W. L. "Stub" Christensen and sister, Betty Jergenson. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Christensen of Eagle Grove; sons, Michael Christensen wife Pam of Eagle Grove, Richard Christensen and wife Jessica of Eagle Grove and Gary Christensen and wife Paula of Cottage Grove, MN; daughter, Lisa Johnson and husband Brad of Shawnee, KS; 12 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Christensen of Eagle Grove.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 15, 2010, 10:30 am at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. Visitation will be Sunday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Foust Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
