Colleen Marian Conaway, 46, of Park Rapids, MN died on Saturday, July 27, 2009 in San Diego, California. Colleen M. Conaway was born on May 29, 1963 at Britt, Iowa the daughter of Arthur Wayne and Marian Elizabeth (Bartek) Conaway. She grew up and attended school in Corwith, Iowa until 1976 when she moved with her family to Park Rapids, MN. She attended high school in Park Rapids and graduated in 1981. Following high school Colleen began working in the fashion department at the Pamida Store in Park Rapids. In 1990 she started a new job at the NorthStar Orthodontics Studio in Park Rapids, MN. She worked in a few different departments there and Colleen currently was acting as the Solder Department Coordinator. Colleen was a well regarded and proud employee at NorthStar Orthodontics Studio. Colleen enjoyed fitness and health, health food and exercising. She was a member of the Park Rapids Fitness Center. She also liked to spend time gardening, fishing, traveling with her mother and sisters on their trips to the North Shore "rock collecting." She was really intrigued with watching and photographing sunrises and sunsets. She was an avid reader and was very interested in self improvement, and she practiced yoga. She was a confirmed member of the Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids, MN.

She is survived by her parents – Arthur W. and Marian E. (Bartek) Conaway of Park Rapids, MN. Her two sisters – Elizabeth (Gary) DeGroote of Corwith, Iowa; Lynn (John) Graham of Park Rapids, MN. Seven loving nieces and nephews. 1 great nephew. Several Aunts and Uncles and cousins. Her longtime special friend Dennis Wothe and their dog Cooper – of Park Rapids, MN; her close co-workers and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids, MN. Rev. Ken Nyhusemoen will be the officiant. Visitation will be held for 1 hour prior to the services. Roz Pederson will be the organist. Congregational Hymns will be "Amazing Grace" "Borning Cry" and "On Eagles Wings." Honorary Casketbearers will be Colleen's nieces and nephews Jamie Krautkremer, Kasey Krautkremer, Kody Krautkremer, Keith Graham, Holly DeGroote, Heather Ramirez, Wayne De Groote, and Gabriel Ramirez. A lunch reception will be held at the church fellowship hall following the services. Inurnment will be held at the Bethel Lutheran Cemetery – Dorest, MN
