PEORIA, IL - Lucy D. Lightbody, 75, of Peoria passed away at 4 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, at her home. She was born Dec. 16, 1934, in Klemme, Iowa, to William Lee and Alvina (Ausborn) Hawkins. Surviving are five children, Vickie Walker, Ronald, Jeff, Sherrie Williams and Mike; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lucille Neer and Bonnie Downes. She was preceded in death by her parents and 13 siblings.
Lucy worked at Bel-Wood Nursing Home for 13 years before retiring and loved to play bingo. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel in Bartonville. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Monday at the chapel. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made to Methodist Hospice.
