Dorothy M. Pearson, 96, of Franklin, North Carolina passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 2010. Born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Hans C. Hansen and Anna C. Jensen Hansen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Leo Hansen. Dorothy enjoyed volunteering at Care Net and was an avid golfer. She was of the Methodist faith. She is survived by a son, John Pearson and wife Joanne of Florida; a granddaughter, Lisa Pearson Forrest of Pfafftown, NC; and three grandsons, John, Brett and Brandon. No services have been planned at this time. Memorial donations may be made to Care Net, 30 Bidwell St., Franklin, NC 28734. Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
