Margarette Alice (Prull) Will was born August 5, 1926 at Britt, Iowa daughter of William and Cora (Marth) Prull. She grew up in Britt, graduating from Britt High School in 1943. She was united in marriage to Eugene Steenhard on June 10, 1947 and to this union one son, Craig was born. Margarette worked as a bookkeeper at Hutchins Elevator until 1966. She married G.M. "Gotch" Will on January 29, 1966 at Britt and they made their home in Corwith. Starting in May, 1966 she worked as a secretary to the superintendent of Corwith-Wesley Community School until retiring in July, 1994. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Corwith belonging to the Women’s Circle and also served as church treasurer. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star. Margarette loved spending time with her family, needle work, playing cards, bingo, and going to neighborhood coffees.

Margarette A. Will died Saturday, June 24, 2006, at Westview Care Center, Britt at the age of 79. She had been a resident there since April, 2006. She is survived by one son Craig Steenhard and his wife Karlene of Corwith; three granddaughters, Cari Davis and her husband Ken of Joliet, IL, Renee Assink and her husband Brandon of Grimes, and Tina Steenhard and her fiancé Brent Coleman of Iowa City; and five great-grandchildren, Levi, Dustin, and Kortney Davis, and Dawson and Drew Assink. She is also survived by two step-children Nancy Larson and her husband Marion of Hardy and Curt Will of Boulder, CO; 8 step-grandchildren; 18 step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Marie Olson of Britt, and Alma Pergande and her husband Melvin of Britt; a sister-in-law, Vera Will of Britt; a brother-in-law, Bill Huber of Payson, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; an infant brother and brother, Herbert Prull; a sister, Viola Huber; and a step-daughter, Wanda Skogerboe.
