HARRY FRISBIE DIES AT AGE 53; RITES SATURDAY
Harry S. Frisbie, 53, 403 W. South St., a machinist at Fisher Governor Co. before his retirement, died Wednesday afternoon at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. He had been in failing health for the past three years.
He was born Jan. 19, 1916 at Lone Rock, the son of Bert I. and Myrtle Robinson Frisbie. He spent his early life and received his education at Corwith. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On April 17, 1943, in Riverside, Calif., he was married to Marsha Estelle Mills. She survives, as do six children, Mrs. Marvin (Jean) Leikers, Hays, Kan.; Glen Frisbie and Charles Frisbie, both of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Judy Volk, Fort Worth, Texas; Mrs. Gordon (Barbara) Snyder and Mrs. Norman (Pat) Beem, both of Marshalltown; a step-son, Carl L. Shaw, Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Morgart, Des Moines, and Mrs. Frances Pfeiffer, Grinnell; a brother, Ferd Frisbie, Des Moines, and 17 grandchildren. His parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Mr. Frisbie had lived in Marshalltown since 1948. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Pursel-Davis Chapel, the Rev. Marvin Johnson in charge. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
