VIVIAN A. SHIMKUS, 85, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday (Sept. 22, 2001) at Shore Acres Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Corwith, Iowa, she came here in 1956 from Lincoln, Neb. She was a clerk for the auto tag agency of the Pinellas County Tax Collector's office and retired after 21 years of service. She was Catholic. Survivors include three daughters, Vivian S. Shimkus and Barbara S. Noyes, both of St. Petersburg, and Patricia S. Rady, Inverness; five grandsons, Michael Rady, Scott Rady, Kevin Rady, Christopher Rady and Brian Noyes; and five great-grandchildren. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel, St. Petersburg.
