L. D. Clapsaddle, of Victoria, Texas age 78, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2000. He was born October 16, 1921, in Corwith, Iowa, to the late Frank K. and Glo Etta Beaman Clapsaddle. He was a former resident of Ingleside, Texas. He retired from Reynolds Metal Company after 24 years of service. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.
L.D. is survived by his wife, Margarette Hudson Clapsaddle; son, Frank and wife, Jackie Clapsaddle of Victoria; daughter, Lynn and husband, Jim Cox of Spicewood, Tx.; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; sister, Lorraine Jensen of Bode, Iowa and Leila Wilson of Yakima, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Floyd Ray Clapsaddle and Dale Jay Clapsaddle; and 10 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. today, Sunday, April 16, 2000, at Colonial Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2000, at the Prairie View Cemetery near Ingleside/Aransas Pass. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Texas or the Pilot Club of Victoria. Arrangements are with Colonial Funeral Home, Victoria,
