BELMOND, IA -- Nathan James Bond, 79, of Belmond, died Tuesday (April 30, 1996) at home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Rockwell City, with the Rev. Laurence Garrett, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Rockwell City, with military rites conducted by the Rockwell City Legion. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Ewing Funeral Home, Belmond.

Nathan James Bond was born Feb. 6, 1917, in Ida Grove. Survivors include his wife, Ethel of Belmond; one daughter, Teresa Pals of Belmond; one son, Steven Bond of Manitou Springs, Colo.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
