BELMOND, IA — Clarence "Mike" Mickelson, 78, of Belmond died Thursday (Oct. 1, 1998) at the Belmond Community Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Belmond, with the Rev. Jack Paisley officiating. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Belmond. Visitation was held on Friday at the Dugger-Ewing Funeral Home, Belmond.

Clarence Mickelson was born Feb. 25, 1920, in Duncombe. Survivors include his wife, Ruth; three daughters, Nancy Harms, of Belmond, Kaye Munden, of Rochester, Minn.; and Rose Mickelson, of Belmond; one son, Mick Mickelson, of Belmond; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Ruth Baker, of Belmond; Marjorie Norcross, of Humboldt; Doris Greenwood, of Belmond; and Bonnie Sharp, of Orr, Minn.; one brother, Richard, of Livermore, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister.
