CLARION, IA — Ruth Olson, 74, of Clarion, died Sunday (Oct. 25, 1998) at the Community Memorial Hospital, Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Clarion Church of Christ, with Mark Young officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Willim Funeral Home, Clarion.

Ruth Olson was born Jan. 31, 1924, on the family farm near Lake Cornelia. Survivors include one son, Robert Olson, of Clarion; one daughter, Jane Townsend, of Clarion; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Don Tice, of Clarion, Howard Tice, of Mesa, Ariz., and Charlie Tice, of Grand Marie, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband, [Duane Olson] parents, and one brother.
