MASON CITY — Harold K. Price Sr., 85, of 336 26th St. S.W., died Saturday (April 14, 2007) at his home. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel 126 Third Street N.E. Mason City, with Pastor Tom Healey officiating. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, with full military honors conducted by members of the Mason City Veteran’s Association. Memorials may be directed to Harold K. Price Sr. Memorial Fund.

Harold Kenneth Price Sr. was born on October 17, 1921, in Klemme, the son of Lee and Mollie (Hegigner) Price. He enlisted into the United States Navy in 1942 and was honorably discharged December of 1945. Harold was united in marriage to Doris Anderson on Aug. 16, 1947, in Mason City. To this union three children were born. Harold worked for the Mason City Public Schools from 1961 to 1983. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, and baseball; he was an avid Braves fan. Harold’s greatest love was spending time with his family and friends. Harold was a lifetime member of the VFW and the National Rifle Association. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.

Harold is survived by his wife, Doris Price, Mason City; children: Julie (Merlin) Gorder, Dows; Kathryn Renshaw, Dover, Ohio; and Harold K. Jr. (Connie) Price, Mason City; grandchildren: Jane Vanasdal, Shelly (Lonnie) Fox, Emily (Dan) Bryant, Sarah (James) Birke, Lindsey (Justin) Hanson, Kristin Price and special friend, Chad Williams; great-grandchildren Melodee Birke, Zachery Gossweiler, Lane Bryant, Elora Birke, Riley Bryant, Madison Vanasdal, Lilyann Bryant, Rayna Vanasdal; sister Leona (Richard) Torkelson, Mason City, sister-in-law, Nadine Price, Clear Lake; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Mollie Price; sister, Evelyn Stites, and brother Bill Price. Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel.
