April 2, 2003Donald L. Booker, 57, of Gallatin, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at his home in Gallatin. Graveside services were held on Saturday, March 22, at the Ell Township Cemetery in Klemme. The Rev. Paddy Druhl of the United Methodist Church in Klemme officiated.
Donald Lee Booker, the son of Floyd and Hilda (O'Connell) Booker, was born on September 21, 1945 at Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from high school at Covington, Kentucky in 1963. He was employed as a machinist and received special training pertaining to his trade from GE and Milacron. He married Dawn Carolus on September 5, 1998. They made their home in Gallatin. Donald enjoyed being a step-father to Dawn's son, Clark and taught him many things. He loved to fish, camp and hunt. He enjoyed playing horseshoes with his father-in-law, Keith. He also enjoyed coming to Klemme.
Survivors include, his wife, Dawn (Carolus) Booker of Gallatin; his step-son, Clark Campos of Gallatin: his parents-in-law, Keith and Roberta Carolus of Klemme; a sister-in-law, Barbara Ralston and her husband, Gary and their children, Brian and Chris all of Arkansas; and two brothers-in-law, Brad Carolus and his wife, Jessie and their daughter, Bretta, all of Klemme and Dan Carolus and his special friend, Karla Quam of Meservey. He was preceded in death by his parents.
