Lillian L. Schlei, 81, Garner, died May 26, 2004 at Muse Norris Hospice in Mason City. Services were held May 29 at the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Klemme. Lillian Louise was born July 17, 1922 on a farm near Thornton, the daughter of Axel and Katherine Petersen Juhl. She graduated from Ventura High School in 1940. She married Dale Schlei in 1943 in Clear Lake. They farmed southwest of Klemme for many years. She lived at Prairie View Apartments in Garner the past 18 years. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; husband (1975); sisters Elnora, Laura and Elsie; and brothers Albert, Elmer, Leonard and Arthur. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Dan) Farris of Garner; grandchildren Tracy (Frank) Marshall of Klemme, Craig (Linda) Meints of Klemme, and Cody Farris of Garner; step grandchildren Anna and Amy Skogerboe of Klemme; and sister Alice Thompson of Washington.
