BURDETTE VALDAIR ROGERS

Burdette Rogers, 64, of Greene, IA died on Friday, November 10, 2000 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN of a stroke. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000 at St. John Lutheran Church in Clarksville with Norman G. Omodt officiating. Interment was in Lynwood Cemetery, Clarksville. Burdette, the daughter of Fred and Addie Willis Cramer was born on January 17, 1936 in Waverly. She graduated from Allison High School in 1953. On January 17, 1954 she married Louis R. Rogers in St. James Lutheran Church in Allison. They farmed in Butler County, rural Greene until they retired in 1993. Burdette was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Clarksville. Burdette was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Leroy Cramer. Survivors include her husband Louis Rogers of Greene; two sons and their wives, Randy and Nancy Rogers of Belmond and Steve and Sylvia Rogers of Rochester, MN; one daughter and her husband, Vicki and Bob Kleinschmidt of Holman, WI; 7 grandchildren and one sister, Peggy and her husband Duwaine Redfield of Belmond.
