October 4, 2001Erwin Henry Greiman, 82, died at Concord Care Center in Garner September 28, 2001. Funeral services were held at Tenold Funeral Home in Klemme on October 1. Rev. Donna Buckman of the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ officiated. Interment was in the Ell Township Cemetery, Klemme. Erwin Henry Greiman, the son of Henry and Clara Greiman, was born January 5, 1919 at rural Garner. Erwin farmed with his father west of Peace Reformed Church. He was a confirmed member of the Peace Reformed Church and attended Klemme Schools. Erwin had been a resident of Duncan Heights and Concord Care Centers for the past 40 years due to a logging accident. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing bingo, attending church services and various other activities at the care center. He enjoyed chocolate and visiting with his roommate Eddie.
Preceding him in death were his parents, brother Alvin, and sister Lucille Stallbaumer. Survivors include his sister Corrine and husband William Davey of Gadsden, AL; Rick and Joyce Merkel, Gadsden, AL; Sharilyn and James Forcht, Eileen and Jim Ownes of Antioch, CA; Patricia and Dan Henry of Overland Park, KS; and Elisa Forcht of Cedar Rapids.
