Wayne W. Pavey, 92, Webster City, died Thursday, May 18, 2006 at Hamilton Hospital. Born March 10, 1914 in Klemme, IA, he was the son of Wallace F. and Anna Coobs Pavey. Mr. Pavey graduated from Klemme High School in 1930 at the age of 16. On July 14, 1940, he married Florence Woodhouse in Klemme. Before his retirement in June 1976, he had been employed as a butter maker by the Klemme Coop and then by Forrester’s Dairy, and for 32 years by the Webster City Products Company. He was an active member of the Church of Christ in Webster City. He had also been active in Congregate Meals, Golden Mixers, R.S.V.P., Union retirees and as an elementary school volunteer aide, and in many other volunteer positions.

Survivors include his two daughters, Carol Hassenger of Greensburg, PA, and Sallie Woolley of Lima, Ohio; one son, Michael Pavey of Columbus Junction, IA., seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Juanita, and his wife. The funeral for Mr. Pavey will be 1 p.m. June 3, 2006 at the Church of Christ with Pastor Ray Artrip officiating. A memorial has been established to the Church of Christ.
