BRADFORD, IA -Evadna Darleen Dorenkamp, 79, of Bradford, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, at Scenic Manor Nursing Home in Iowa Falls. Services were held Monday, Aug. 21 at Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with burial in Maynes Grove Cemetery at Bradford. Rev. Wilbert Trusheim officiated.

Darleen was born June 15, 1921, at Estherville, to Louis and Hazel Hinton Perkins. She graduated from Estherville High School in 1940 and was employed as a secretary at a utility company in California, Swift and Co. in Chicago and bookkeeper at the Klemme Co-op Elevator. On Nov. 26, 1955, she married Marvin Dorenkamp at Klemme. Darleen was a member of the Bradford United Methodist Church and the Hampton Methodist Church and a past Eastern Star member in Chicago. She was a den mother for Cub Scouts in Bradford, taught Sunday School for 15 years at the Bradford Methodist Church, was a member of Bradford UMW, and participated in the Senior Citizens Center in Hampton.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin, of Bradford; three sons, Brad and wife, Karin of West Palm Beach, Fla., Kevin and wife, Calista, and Todd and wife, Sue, all of Iowa Falls; a daughter, Karla Turner of Ames; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeanie Yule and husband, Merle, of Estherville; a sister-in-law, Marge Perkins of Spirit Lake; and dear friends, Sandra and Rick Kyles of Afton, Okla. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Victor Perkins. Surls Funeral Home of Iowa Falls was in charge of arrangements.
