VINCENT - James Oskar Anderson Jr. "Ozzie", 59, of Vincent, IA passed away on July 5, 2010 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday July 10, 2010 at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at the Paton Township Cemetery, Paton, IA. The visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 A.M. on Saturday prior to the funeral service at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

James was born in Jefferson, IA on March 8, 1951 to James and Betty (Huffman) Anderson. He grew up and graduated from Paton-Churdan High School. He joined the U.S. Army and was also a member of the Florida National Guard for many years. He owned and operated Anderson Brothers Trucking in Florida. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing with his dog Joker.

James is survived by his sisters, Anna Marie Burbridge of Fort Dodge and Debora Sue (Buddy) Swanson of Vincent, IA; nephews Earl and James Burbridge and Chad, Josh and Chris Swanson; great-nieces Kimberly and Nicole Burbridge; great-nephew Carter James Swanson; half-sisters Florence Siegenthaler of Jefferson, IA, Paulena Morris of Bartlett, TN; and half brother Bernard Anderson of Broken Arrow, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Betty; twin brothers Stephen and Stanley Anderson; brother Richard Anderson; half-brother Albin Anderson and brother-in-law Russell Burbridge. Memorials may be directed to the family for their further discretion.
