29 May 1917 -- 29 January 1999

Paul William Baack was born on May 29,1917, to Herman and Lillian (Blumer) Baack near Klemme, Iowa. He attended schools in rural Klemme, and he was baptized and confirmed at the Immanuel Reformed Church of Christ in Klemme. On May 28, 1946, Paul married Darlene Wilkinson at Troy, Missouri. The couple made their home near Klemme and engaged in farming. Paul enjoyed farming, woodworking, and working on cars. He had a love for nature-both the animals and plants, and he particularly liked flowers, He found great joy in his children and grandchildren. Paul died on Friday, January 29, 1999, at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt, Iowa.

Those people left to cherish time spent with him are his wife, Darlene of Klemme, IA. Daughter, Lora Carpenter and her husband, Ronald of Mason City, IA; son, Larry Baack of Klemme, IA; two granddaughters, Amy Morris and her husband, Jeff of Jacksonville, FL, and Angela Carpenter of Mason City, IA; two great grandchildren, Ronnie and Jorden Morris of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Ethel Kropp of Garner, IA, and Dorothy Howie and her husband, Jim of Garner, IA; and three brothers, Roy Baack and his wife, Bernice of Thornton, IA; Robert Baack and his wife, Ruth of Britt, IA, and Richard Baack and his wife, Jean of Klemme, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Norma.
