NORMAN F. STOREY PASSES AWAY
Norman F. Storey was born at Webster City, Iowa, August 22, 1854 and died at home in Ames, south of the college campus, Apr. 8, 1908, aged 54 years and 7 months and 16 days. Mr Storey married Permila (Miley) M. Grohe in Des Moines Oct. 29, 1888. To this union two children were born, Katie 17 years and Charles 15 years. In early life the deceased was engaged in the commission and produce business which he followed until a fatal and uncurable disease fastened itself upon his system and caused him much suffering through the last ten years of his life and up until the time of his death.
Mr. Storey was reared on a farm and was one of seven children, and only a sister at Webster City and a brother at Renshaw, Minn. both younger are living. He was a plain modest man, a man of much information and of excellent judgement also a good counselor. His life was based on strict integrity and honesty. Could he have been given health and strength in his mature years, success would have crowned his labors. Thus has a faithful wife, with a loving heart and two children have been deprived of a faithful husband and a loving father, just as life seemed dearest and most desirable. The funeral was conducted from the home Friday afternoon by the Rev. W. J. Minchin of the Congregational Church.
