Quad City Times, Davenport, IowaBENNETT, Iowa — Services for Duane R. Morris, 49, of 440 Maple St., will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Bennett. Burial will be in Shawver Cemetery, Cedar Bluff. Military services will be conducted at the burial. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Mr. Morris died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at University Hospitals, Iowa City, after an intercranial hemorrhage. He was employed as a material handler for CDS, Wilton.
He was born Nov. 24, 1952, in Clarion. He married Connie Collins in 1982 in West Branch. During the Vietnam War, he served in the Army. A memorial fund has been established. Survivors include his wife, Connie; daughters, Nichole and Jamie Morris, both of Bennett; sons, Duane R., Jr., Bennett, Curtis Woodford and Robert Morris; a grandson; his mother, Ann Whitnable, New Hampton; sisters, Marilyn Mihm, Waukoma, Cathy Kleinschmidt, Austin, Minn., Patty Wilharm, LeRoy, Minn., and Deb Block, Orchid; and brothers, Alan and Dean, both of New Hampton.
