Ronald Dean Hoshaw, 72, of Shell Knob, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2006, in an auto accident. He was born Sept. 15, 1933, in Stratford, Iowa, the son of Harvey and Pearl (Neece) Hoshaw. On Nov. 27, 1955, in Webster City, Iowa, he was united in marriage to Joyce Darlene Wagner who preceded him in death on Oct. 6, 2000, after 44 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Survivors include: one son, Eric Hoshaw and his wife, Kelleen, of Riverside, Calif.; three daughters, Ronna Huisman and Denny, of Clarion, Iowa, Darla Jo Sullivan and her husband, Tony, of Shell Knob, and Chris Hoshaw and Rob, of Ontario, Calif.; four brothers, Gary Hoshaw and his wife, Karen, of West Des Moines, Iowa, Francis Hoshaw and his wife, Sharon, of Stratford, Iowa, Roger Hoshaw and his wife, Irene, of Stratford, Iowa, and William Hoshaw and his wife, Cookie of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Maxine Silvey of Ames, Iowa, and Carolyn Iles, of Stratford, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He attended school in Boone, Iowa, and finished his high school education in the United States Army at Ft. Sill, Okla. He served his country during the Korean Conflict. He retired a year ago from Prototype's in Fontana, Calif., and moved to Shell Knob, to make his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Forrest Lawn Covina Hills Funeral Home, Covina, Calif. A Celebration of Life will be held in Shell Knob at a later date.
