Mrs. Lena Rasmussen, 84, longtime resident of Webster City, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold Halsne, 1318 2nd St. Anna Nicolina Anderson, daughter of Chris and Metta Marie Anderson, was born at Dugaard, Denmark, where she was reared and educated. She came to the United States July 14, 1904, coming to Jewell where she made her home with a cousin Mrs. Peter Nelson. She later moved to Webster City where she was united in marriage March 9, 1906, to Fritz L. Rasmussen, and the couple made their home at 1318 2nd St. She was preceded in death by her husband Sept. 22, 1935, her parents and two grandchildren. Surviving are two children, Mrs. Harry (Erna) Christensen of Goldfield and Mrs. Harold (Oma) Halsne of Webster City; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. ....Burial in Graceland Cemetery.
