Paul Joseph Hansen, 77, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away May 7, 2010, at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born March 8, 1933, in Alexander, Iowa, to Joseph and Addie (Larsen) Hansen. Paul graduated from the Hampton High School in 1951. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Paul married Doris Gerfen on August 31, 1956, in Clarion, Iowa. He worked most of his life in agriculture sales, after retirement he enjoyed driving school bus. Paul was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hampton, Iowa. He was a member of the American Legion, and a past member of the Hampton Lions Club. Paul enjoyed golfing, playing cards, watching his grandchildren’s activities, going to Texas and was a avid Hawkeye and Cubs fan. He is survived by his daughter Debra Hansen of DeWitt, daughter Kim (Brad) Mulford of Sheffield, son Bart (Diana) Hansen of Hampton, son Scott Hansen of Northwood, brother R. Peter Hansen of Phoenix, Arizona, sister Muriel Wohlwend of Davenport, grandchildren: Keely (Devin) Schwiesow, Kyle (KariAn) Mulford, Paul Mulford, Eric, Blake (Morgan) Sarah, Ben, Haley & Cole Hansen, great grandchildren: Kennedy, Jayce, Carter, Landon, Elizabeth & Porter. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a brother Jack.
