Agnes Marie Wiese, 85 of Sun City, Ariz., went to live with the Lord peacefully on April 30, 2010. She was born in Clarion, Iowa, on October 6, 1924, spent most of her life in Iowa and moved to Arizona in 1993.

Aggie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Vern, of 58 years; sisters, Helen Pike, Jean Russell, Arlene Applegate, Mary Hutchison; brothers, Dr. James Shields and Harold Shields. She is survived by many family members and friends that loved and adored her including, daughters, Terrie Torgerson and husband, Jerry, of Council Bluffs, Diane Clark and husband, Steve, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; grandchildren, Christina, Jennifer, Scott and Sarah; great grandchildren Darian and Justice JoAnn; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Aggie was a registered nurse, served in the US Cadet Nurse Corps, as director of nursing at Mercy Hospital, for Dr. Edwards, Jr. and as a school nurse prior to her retirement. She was a longtime member of the Iowa Nurses Association and loved the Suns and D-Backs. Her passion was playing bridge where she earned a rank of Bronze Life Master. Most of all she loved all of us and she will be dearly missed.

Memorial will be at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home on Saturday, May 8th, at 10:30 a.m. Aggie will be laid to final rest with Vern in Council Bluffs. Memorials to Hospice of the Valley or the American Heart Association preferred.
