Rites Wednesday For Mrs. Goodman

Funeral services for Mrs. Leonard Goodman, 58, of Des Moines were held Wednesday, January 12 at the Church of the Open Bible in Eagle Grove. Mrs. Goodman, a former Eagle Grove resident, died Sunday at Broadlawns Hospital in Des Moines where she had been a patient for just one day.

The former Mabel Orr, she was born and reared in Troy township, Wright county and after graduation, taught in rural schools in the area. She and her first husband, Roy Yeager, were the parents of four children, Mrs. E. F. Goretzke of Anaheim, California; Ray Yeager of Arkansas, Mrs. Shirley Brooks of Des Moines and Mrs. Leonard Watts of Clarion. Mr. Yeager preceded her in death and in 1964 she married Leonard Goodman. Besides her husband and four children she is survived by 10 grandchildren; three brothers and four sisters, Miles Orr of Pocahontas, Enos Orr, Earl Orr and Mrs. Tom Conway, all of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Perry Luke of Clarion, Mrs. Roxcena Lalor of Fort Dodge and Mrs. Lee Williams of Woolstock.
