MASON CITY -- Arloene M. "Dot" McClintock, 85, formerly of Mason City, died Monday (Oct. 21, 1996) at the Carroll Manor, Carroll. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1405 S. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. David Shogren officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood- St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with an Eastern Star
and White Shrine Service at 7 p.m. There will be further visitation one hour prior to services on Friday at the church. Memorials may be given to White Shrine, in care of Masonic Temple or Wesley United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.

Arloene "Dot" McClintock was born Dec. 4, 1910, in Meservey, the daughter of Cornelius J. and Anna M. (Grosz) Janssen. Dot graduated from Meservey High School and Hamilton School of Business. Dot moved to Mason City in 1928 and worked in the office at Jacob B. Decker and Sons until her retirement in 1941. She married Vern W. "Red" McClintock on June 19, 1936, in Mason City. Dot had also worked at the front desk at the Holiday Inn. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Golden Age, Lydia Church Circle, Minerva Study Club, Chapter BF of TTT, Auxiliary to Shriners, Order of Eastern Star, Unity Chapter 58, Alchor Shrine #6, XDG and AARP.

Survivors include one son, David E. McClintock, of Westville, Ind.; one daughter, Diane M. Knief and husband, Gayle, of Carroll; four grandsons, Anthony "Tony" McClintock and wife, Jackie, of Westville, Ind.; Shane McClintock and his wife, Michelle, of Westville, Ind.; Jason Knief and fiancee, Roni Paulsen, of Elkhart, and Derek Knief of Memphis, Tenn.; two great-granddaughters, Hannah and Ashley; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
