Thompson Rites Are Conducted at Eagle Grove

EAGLE GROVE—Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran Church for M. 0. Thompson, prominent farmer in this area, who died Saturday at his farm home here. The Rev. Kenneth Torvik officiated. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife and two sons, Maynard, Des Moines, and Robert Thompson, Castana. Mr. Thompson, 64, was born here and had lived at Kanawha before returning to this area southwest of Eagle Grove. He was a director of the Rural Electrification association at Clarion for 20 years, a member of the county agricultural stabilization and conservation committee, a director of the Boone Valley and local farm co-operatives and a director
of the Corn Belt Power Company in Humboldt.
