HUMBOLDT, IA - Debra Ann Haukoos, 53, of Humboldt, passed away March 28, 2010 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010, in the chapel of the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt with the Rev. J.K. Raether officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Humboldt. Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Debra is survived by her children, Jen (Troy) Kirchhoff of Humboldt, and Jason (Brianne Olson) of Humboldt; grandchildren, Tanner and Cade Kirchhoff; her parents, Robert and Beverly Solbeck of Humboldt; and sisters, Cindy (John Klein) Schneider of Bode, Kathy (Ray) Saathoff of Humboldt, and Teresa (Scott) Slinger of Rolfe. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Josh Schneider.

Debra Ann Solbeck, the daughter of Robert and Beverly (Pederson) Solbeck, was born June 22, 1956 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the Humboldt area and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1974. Debra then attended Iowa Central Community College where she earned her RN Degree in 1976. She was married to Monte Haukoos on August 14, 1976 at the Methodist Church in Humboldt. The couple made their home near Renwick on "Haukoos Acres" where they enjoyed raising horses. Debra practiced nursing at Clarion, the Humboldt Care Center North, and Kanawha until retirement due to health concerns. She then made her home at Humboldt. Debra was an avid movie fan, especially Patrick Swayze, enjoyed assembling photo albums, and enjoyed time spent with her family.
