Parnell Heltne, 85, of Lake Mills

Funeral services for Parnell C. Heltne, 85, Lake Mills, were Wednesday, Nov. 30, 1994 at Salem Lutheran Church, Lake Mills, with Rev. DuWayne Dalen officiating. Burial was in Salem Memorial Cemetery, Lake Mills. Parnell died Saturday, Nov. 26 at the Muse Morris Hospice Unit in Mason City. He was born Nov. 9, 1909 in Center Township, Winnebago County, to Lewis and Nettie (Brackey) Heltne. He married Iva M. Ellertson on June 16, 1940 in Eagle Grove, IA. She died Feb. 1, 1977. On Nov. 8, 1986 he married Beryl Anderson in Lake Mills. He farmed south of Lake Mills in Worth County. He is survived by his wife Beryl Heltne, Lake Mills; two daughters, Bonnie Hodo, Dallas, Texas, and Mari Heltne, Decorah, Iowa; three grandsons, Troy Hayes, Denver, CO., Mike and Dan Hubbard, Decorah, Iowa. Preceding him in death was his parents; his first wife, Iva; infant son, David Michael; two brothers, Clifford in infancy and Harold; two sisters, Jewell Martinson and Carmen Heltne.
