Emma Gene Mullins, 89, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2010 in Salt Lake City Utah. Emma Gene was born July 22, 1920 in Eagle Grove Iowa to LeRoy and Helen Poland. She and her family moved to Colton, California and spent the majority of her life in the Inland Empire. After high school, Emma Gene worked for Stater Bros. Markets until 1964 when she retired to become a homemaker. Emma Gene's greatest joy was all of her family members whom she enjoyed being around. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother of 5, great-grandmother of 6 and great-great-grandmother of 1, an aunt, a cousin and friend. Emma Gene was preceded in death by her husband Dee, her daughter Sandy, her son Michael and her grandson Zachary. She leaves behind with many fond memories, her son Steven and his wife Genevieve and their two kids; Alicia and Kara. Her grandkids, Beverly Stokes and her husband Sal and their children; Willow and Christy and her child Cayden. Kim Neels and her daughter Haylee. Mike Stokes and his wife Robyn and their children; Ryan, Scott and Nick. She will be missed as well by her nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel at Hermosa Cemetery, 900 N. Meridian St. Colton CA 92324 (909-824-911 0) on Friday, March 12th at 11:00 am with internment following after service. A viewing will be held in the chapel at Hermosa Cemetery on Thursday, March 11th from 5:00-7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Little League Baseball in Emma Gene's name are greatly appreciated.
