GOLDFIELD, IA - Edwin Asher Thomas, 72, of Goldfield died Saturday March 6, 2010 at his home. Per his wishes' Edwin has been cremated. Edwin is survived by a wife Margaret Joyce McVicker, a daughter Mary Decker, and grand daughter Elisabeth Decker. He is preceded in death by his parents. Edwin Asher Thomas was born February 17, 1938 to Ethan and Nettie (Prusia) Thomas in Hardy. He graduated from Goldfield High and later worked at Smithway Motor. Edwin was a truck driver for 38 years. 28 of those years Edwin spent as an owner operator. Edwin enjoyed the Ham Radio NOWOJ was his call number. He will be deeply missed.
