WEBSTER CITY - Myrtle J. (Micki) Carlson, 80, of Webster City, died Saturday, January 16, 2010, at the residence of her granddaughter near Runnells, Iowa. Cremation rites will take place at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, at the Trinity Lutheran Church at Hardy, with the Rev. H.W. Schiller officiating. Interment services will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Myrtle is survived by her son Dennis (Betty) Carlson, and grandson Christopher Carlson, all of Bellmore Long Island, New York; her daughter Marcia (Ron) Wagner of Webster City; a granddaughter Rhonda (Mike) Hollingshead of Eagle Grove; three great grandchildren, Joshua (Irina) Hollingshead of Estes Park, Colorado; Kelsey Hollingshead and Lacey Hollingshead, both at the University of Iowa; a granddaughter, Saundra Wagner and her friend Jackie Young of Runnells, Iowa; and a grandson, Justin (Jinny) Wagner of Minburn, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward in 2009, three brothers, Milford, Lester and Arnold Ramsvig, and two sisters, Elverna Leiss and Sally Weaver.

Myrtle Joyce Ramsvig, the daughter of Lewis and Inga (Michaelson) Ramsvig, was born April 21, 1929, near Thor, Iowa. She moved to Humboldt where she graduated from Humboldt High School. On December 12, 1946, Myrtle was united in marriage to Edward Carlson at Blue Earth, Minnesota. Myrtle was a homemaker and also was employed with Fort Dodge Transportation where she worked both as a dispatcher and a driver. Myrtle and Edward enjoyed creating and selling crafts at craft shows, as well as meeting new people at the shows. She enjoyed her hobby of oil painting. Myrtle treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
