George S. Hillson, 82, of Forest City and formerly of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, July 1, 2004, at the Belmond Care Center, Belmond, Iowa. George was born February, 27, 1922, in Arlington, Iowa, the son of Ray Frank and Mary Olive (Baker) Hillson. He married Dorothy Tripp in October of 1941 and later divorced. He then married Zelma Dobbs-Goudreau in January of 1966. She preceded him in death. George farmed in the Arlington, Oelwein and Mederville areas, then hauled milk for the Volga Creamery, and finally was employed with the City of Cedar Falls in the Street Department for 24 years. George is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Robert) Eames of Forest City, Iowa and Linda (Marlin) Blau of Alexander, Iowa; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren and brother, Robert Hillson of Waterloo. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Glen and Raymond Hillson and sister, Ruth Hillson. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at the Richardson Funeral Home, 615 Main St., Cedar Falls, IA (319)266-3525. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
