12 September 1886 -- 5 July 1947

Harrison M. "Hap" Pearl, 59 year old county farmer, died Saturday afternoon while working on his farm southeast of the city. Efforts of a fire department pulmotor squad to revive him were unsuccessful. Pearl had lived on the farm, 2 miles east of Eastern on SE 15, since 1901, when his father bought it. He was a World War I veteran, and a member of American Legion post No. 13. He is survived by four brothers, John, Chenoa, Ill.; George, Sacramento, Calif.; and T. M. and C. A. route 9; and six sisters, Mrs. Grace Katron, [Catron] 505 SW 27; Mrs. Belle Moore, route 9; Mrs. Rose Jones, Harrah; Mrs. Lucy Lister, Ava, Mo.; Mrs. Nellie Riker, Cedar Falls, Iowa; and Mrs. Jennie Johnson, Sacramento. Funeral services will be announced by the Guardian Funeral Home.
